42 and buying blue

Today, I'm 42 and 1/2 exactly. Wow. That was fast. They say that life
moves faster as you get older and 42 is the year that I've drifted into
that 'older' catagory.

Besides the obvious negative traits associated with old, there are also
some good things that accompany my maturity. Like the wherewithall to use my more mature buying power to make a difference, however small.

Take a peek at Mark Morford's article from Sfgate. Besides being wickedly funny, he makes a strong case for retail politics. I'm just sorry I didn't know about the buying blue website" until now. But rest assured, the statistics he states are enough to break my regrettable Amazon habit (and replace it with Booksense.com and Barnesandnoble.com!)
